Industry Veteran Tom Szafranski Joins Heritage Foodservice Group as EVP Commercial Business Development

 FORT WAYNE, Indiana – September 19, 2016 – Heritage Foodservice Group announces the addition of Tom Szafranski as EVP Commercial Business Development effective immediately. Szafranski will be directing the Chain, Service Agent and International business units for Heritage Parts US. He will also be taking the lead in orchestrating the organization’s OEM engagement initiatives.

Szafranski has spent his career in the foodservice industry joining Hobart Corporation straight out of university 32 years ago as a foodservice dealer representative in Columbia, South Carolina. Over the course of his career, Szafranski progressed through a series of positions with steadily increasing responsibilities including National Account Rep – Food Retail; Sales Development Manager – Food Machines Division; National Accounts Manager – Business & Institutions; Director of National Accounts; VP Strategic Accounts; and VP Sales – Hobart Foodservice Division. Most recently, Szafranski served as President, ITW Food Equipment Group Commercial Sales – North America. In that capacity, he drove a $765 million commercial operation responsible for all sales of the Hobart, Traulsen, Vulcan, Wolf, Baxter and Berkel branded products in the United States, as well as those of Hobart’s Canadian operations. Reporting to him were segmented commercial teams focused on Hobart/Traulsen/Baxter dealer sales; Vulcan/Wolf/Berkel dealer sales; US National Accounts; and Consultant Services. He also had the Customer Care, divisional Finance and Canadian Ops teams reporting to him as well.
